Information Technology is the most flourishing and extremely pervasive discipline that is witnessing an unprecedented Innovation in Technologies for Communication, Computation, and Interactivity. The Information Technology Department in FIEM started its journey in the year 2007 with an intake of 60 students. The Department is presently offering UG programs in Information Technology (B Tech in IT). The Department has well qualified faculty members and highly experienced technical staff. Most of the faculty members pursuing their Ph.D with reputed Institutions.
The Department has well established independent laboratories with well equipped systems. The laboratories have all required facilities to learn the new Emerging Technologies like Data Analytics, Data Mining, IoT, AI, Machine Learning, and Open Source Technologies.
The faculties of Department are working on various research projects. The students work with various clubs/ professional chapters like ASME, ISTE, IEEE and Innovation Club. They showcase their potential knowledge in the form of development of product and organize various workshops /seminars/conferences. The aspiration of the Department is not just to impart Industry-relevant Technical skills, but to make the students conduct themselves with Human values. It aims to create tomorrow’s leaders of the knowledge society, who can contribute to the well-being of the Nation. The Department is providing opportunities through various events, to nurture the Managerial and Soft skills of the students, to make them thorough professionals and well-groomed individuals.
We, as a team rededicate ourselves to take the Department of Information Technology to further heights of success and glory.
